Dia Mirza who was a marketing executive at the age of 18 was lucky enough to get entry into the glamour world and reach the present position in her career. This Hydrabadi girl made her first appearance in 'Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein' after of course obtaining the title of Miss Asia Pacific. Dia's face resembles former Miss World Aishwarya Rai, it is said. However, despite her most pretty look she hasn't thrilled the industry at all. She never remained in a great buzz for her acting or films. The news that Rani Mukherjee and Konkona Sen have come together for Yash Raj Films’ “Laga Chunari Mein Daag” (which was earlier known as ‘Chooriyan’) has become stale but the surprise is that the two Bong beauties get along very well, irrespective of their experience in the film industry. A recent incident stood proof for this rapport. Rani and her co-star Konkana were both doing a dance sequence when accidentally Rani got a cut on her nose which began to bleed. Kokona, who is not comfortable dancing, said it was her clumsiness and was very apologetic about the incident. Rani was very calm and didn’t throw any star tantrums for this. She quietly went back to her make-up room and emerged in some time to finish some close-ups of her with the wound covered by make-up. However Konkana was visibly upset and though she had apologized to Rani, she also sent a huge bouquet of flowers along with an apology note to Rani. However, Rani was quite cool about the entire accident and spoke with Konkana and assured her that everything was fine.

Karan Johar is taking his newly discovered role as Bollywood's academic ambassador very seriously. The director was last week invited to lecture 500 students at New York University and says the response was "overwhelming".
"The subject was Bollywood and its popular culture. It isn't so much about what I said to them as what they asked me. I suddenly realised how far Bollywood was reaching out. They no longer ask questions about the song-and-dance aspect of Bollywood," Karan told a news channel. "The western hemisphere is waking up to the vast possibilities of our cinema. And it's amazing to hear how much insight the American students could provide me about my cinema. I think the time for Bollywood has arrived now." Apparently, Karan is now being booked for Bollywood lectures in several cities in the US.

Being a Super Hero Abhishek has to have a necessary accessory and that will be a bracelet which has magical proportions and power source with it. So should it look dull and unimpressive? No, absolutely no…and Abhishek sure assured he got the best bracelet fit to be on his wrist. “This bracelet is crucial to the film’s story, so Abhishek kept rejecting one design after another. He wasn’t happy with what he was seeing at all. Finally, he approved one design and the jewellery designer dashed off to get several sets ready in time for the next schedule. Abhishek has taken a keen interest in every aspect of his role. He is hands-on about everything he is wearing in the film. In fact, his clothes and accessories were designed only after he approved them” says a source from the film unit. Looks like Bollywood’s famous perfectionist Aamir has got a competitor.
