Mumbai, Actress Kangana Ranaut is confident about being pitched against Priyanka Chopra in Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming venture "Fashion"."Barring Anurag Basu's 'Metro', most of my films have been solo-heroine films revolving around my character. This is the first time I'm co-starring with another actress. I'm not insecure about it. Why should I be? Priyanka and I have distinct personalities and that's why Madhur has signed us to play the two very different characters," Kangana told IANS.But Priyanka has a reputation of emerging as trumps whenever pitched against another actress like against Kareena Kapoor in "Aitraaz" and Lara Dutta in"Andaaz". Kanagana Ranaut has her ways of getting things done and her bindaas nature has always made that possible. The gorgeous newcomer asked for a SUV as a payment for her role in the Telugu flick starring opposite South superstar Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja.

She's already acknowledged as a powerhouse actress where emoting is concerned, but did you know that Kangana Ranaut also excels in designing clothes - for herself, we mean. Yes, the actress designs almost 90 per cent of her clothes, be it on screen or off it, and is already setting trends. And of course, having such a great body, half her work is already done for her. We don't know if the other designers are feeling left out though!
But one thing is for sure, Kangna's supermodel body, talent and star-presence is a combination that is hard to resist. No wonder, director Sameer Karnik has recently signed her for his next film opposite Bobby Deol.

The Bhatt camp which gave Kangana Ranaut her first break in Gangster is naturally furious. Kangana has refused an offer from the "discovery" channel Bhatts although she has signed five new films of other banners. Does that make Kangana another Mallika Sherawat, who after the resounding hit Murder, upped her nose and price, and dictated her terms to all who she could survey, including the Bhatts? The Bhatts might think so, and true to type, might just give her the boot, as they did to Mallika and her booty. But Kangana says that the script demanded some obscene scenes which she did not want to do. Read the rest of this entry »

While organisers are spreading word about Kangana Ranaut's alleged misdemeanour at the Bollywood Awards function in New York, the actress has another story to tell. "I've been to so many live performances in the last two years. But this one takes the cake. This was one of the worst organised and attended events," Kangana told a news channel. According to eyewitnesses, Bipasha Basu and Neha Dhupia refused to perform until money due to them was paid. "All of us were not paid. I put my foot down when they said the amount would be given after the show. I refused to get out of my hotel room until I was paid. They paid the money to my manager but kept aside $1,000 for my costume. When my manager demanded the amount, they fired him. Finally the organisers paid up. Read the rest of this entry »
