After his superlative performance in last year's blockbuster, PARTNER, ex-comedy king, Govinda has been inundated by offers from makers. As expected, most of the roles that he has been offered and the projects in which he is working are comedies. They made a excellent screen chemistry in ‘Kyunki Main Jhoot Nahin Bolta’, but a misunderstanding between the two, Govinda and Sushmita Sen, kept them apart for a long time. Looking good and staying fit is important in showbiz and comic actor Govinda, who made a comeback with "Partner", is currently working hard to get into shape and says it is essential to eat right. "Yes, I am working on my looks. It is important to change over time and one should not stick to one thing (or a look) for very long," Govinda told IANS. Filmmaker Jagmohan Mundhra's sex comedy with Govinda is titled "Excuse Me, Please". The actor plays a 40-year-old virgin in the movie and says he will pretend he is one. "Yes, it is a sex comedy. How do I play a 40-year-old virgin? I'll just have to fake it, ha ha. I guess that's what acting is. I've never touched alcohol in my life. But I've played a drunkard. A few days back we gave you the news of Govinda launching his daughter Narmada and reviving his banner. Now we've learned that Narmada's launch has been pushed forward but at the same time Govinda is reviving his banner in a big way with as many as 3 to 4 films. Sanjay Dutt and Fardeen Khan have given their nod for the first film to be directed by a new director. The second one will have Govinda in the lead and details for the same have been chalked out. Actor Govinda is very excited about getting together with David Dhawan and producer Vashu Bhagnani again and says he will create something thoroughly entertaining. "We've created quite a sensation in the past with 'Hero No. 1' and 'Coolie No. 1'. We'll definitely create full entertainment again. Yes, it'll be a comedy.  Shooting of Madhur Bhandarkar's biggest project till date, FASHION, is currently on in full swing. However, it will be only towards the fag end of the year that audience would be able to catch the flick on the big screen. Says an actor attached to the project, "Madhur and UTV are going all out to ensure that it turns out to be the most talked about project of the year. FASHION is going to be one of those projects which would have an extensive promotional campaign attached to it around its release. We are also looking at shooting at fashion capitals of the world in next few months." "They way this project is shaping up, it's turning out to be a bigger with every passing week", he goes on to add, "With such prestigious names associated with the film and a huge budget to add, FASHION is being nurtured carefully. The film is looking at a release this October or a little later."

Amongst the multiple projects that his company is planning for 2008, two ventures, both comedy films, one directed by Priyadarshan starring Akshay Kumar and the other by David Dhawan, with the first time pairing of David, Govinda and Akshay, are the pick of the lot and sounds most interesting. Govinda has been gifted a lucky charm by new best friend, Salman Khan, as Sallu thinks it will ward off the evil eye and prevent his pal from landing in more trouble this year. Salman also has an identical bracelet, which he wears at all times and credits it for protecting him. Now Govinda too doesn’t leave home without his charm. Can’t blame the actor for being a tad superstitious as poor Govinda began the year on a bad note after he slapped one of his fans on the sets of his forthcoming film Money Hai Toh Honey Hai.
