Fardeen Khan is upbeat about his next release Darling, which has Esha Deol playing a spirit in the storyline.
In a recent interview for a newspaper, Fardeen was asked whether he had an experience with a ghost in his real life. He said, “It happened to me once while I was staying at a hotel with wife Natasha. I could feel someone brushing their hands down my legs. Twice I woke up to check what was wrong with Natasha, but then I soon realized that she was fast asleep.

And it truly wasn’t her. And when I lay myself down to sleep, it happened again. I had to get out of there. It was scary.”

It has been two years since the release of NO ENTRY. Ever since then Fardeen Khan has appeared in a slew of films but none have done any wonders at the box office. While SHAADI NO. 1 barely managed to scrape through, EK KHILADI EK HASEENA wasn't anything spectacular at the box office. PYAARE MOHAN met with the same fate too while he was hardly there in ARYAN. His sole release of 2007, JUST MARRIED, didn't set the cash registers jingling either.

To Fardeen's credit, irrespective of the fate of his films, he has seen some of the best reviews of his career coming his way, especially for films like EK KHILADI EK HASEENA and JUST MARRIED. That should make Fardeen doubly confident as all eyes are currently set on his twin release in coming weeks.

Fardeen Khan’s films have been flopping one after the other, be it Pyare Mohan or Just Married. But the buzz doing the rounds is that Anuj Saxena’s Dulha Mil Gaya is Fardeen’s big ticket to Bollywood where he is the lead actor and has a prominent role in the film.

With the release of Ram Gopal Varma's DARLING round the corner, the film's promotion is catching up well. While Himesh Reshammiya's crooning is all over the place with the number 'Tadap Tadap' dominating the music channels, there is more to come as a music video featuring Fardeen Khan and Esha Deol has been unveiled.

A promotional number created for the remix version of 'Tadap Tadap', it has DJ Kiran at the helm. Mainly shot on indoor sets with a dark look dominating the frames, the music video boasts Fardeen dancing in his characteristic style, as he has been doing ever since the days of 'Kambakth Ishq' (PYAAR TUNE KYA KIYA).

In spite of a good on screen chemistry and competent performances by Fardeen Khan and Esha Deol, JUST MARRIED didn't quite call the shots at the box office. Releasing at the beginning of the World Cup, the film didn't take a good initial and had a painful exit from the theaters. Nevertheless, both Fardeen and Esha have moved on to be seen together yet again in DARLING.

A co-production of Ram Gopal Verma and Bhushan Kumar, DARLING is a Factory-T-Series venture and is slated to arrive in July this year. The film was announced last year and was designed as a quickie. In between films like SHIVA and NISHABD happened and DARLING was kept on a back burner.

Fardeen finished the shooting for Just Married in December last year, and Darling in January. Now he has also wrapped up Sajid Khan’s Heyy Babyy.

On asking him whether he was no worried about being “Out of sight, out of mind”, he said, “No, I wasn’t worried about that at all. It was my choice to take six-seven months off after my wedding. I wanted my wife Natasha to settle down since she has moved here from London. I was enjoying the post-wedding phase of being together.”

After weeks of speculation, PNC's JUST MARRIED starring Fardeen Khan and Esha Deol in the lead would finally be hitting the screens on 16th of this month. Just like PYAAR KE SIDE EFFECTS [2006] which released at theatres months after it's promos were first aired, even JUST MARRIED arrives at least a month after the publicity reached it's peak.

One should credit the fine promos of the film that have still enabled the film to stay with each of the songs managing to create a place for themselves. The genre of action cinema will grip the nation again once new action flicks roll out this year. Among many of the films announced this year, ace photographer Subi Samuel and director Ashu Trikha are all set to come out with an action film with a difference.

The film will reportedly star action hero Ajay Devgan, and hunks: Fardeen Khan and Arjun Rampal. “It’s an action fare. It will star three top of the line actors. We haven’t approached Ajay. As for Arjun, we did connect before his film’s [I SEE YOU] release, but haven’t spoken as such,” Ashu states.
