Ramgopal Varma may have had reason to celebrate recently, after a very long gap. His 'Phoonk' finally brought a smile on the faces of his distributors who had been making losses in one after the other of his films. But the filmmaker’s joy, it seems, was shortlived. No, it isn’t as if the box-office result of the horror flick, 'Phoonk', has changed. What must’ve taken away the smile from Ramu’s lips is the complaint filed by financier Bharat Shah in IMPPA (Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association) against Ramu. Read the rest of this entry »

Arjun Rampal is doing his bit for charity by being father to 17 girls.
The good man has sponsored the up-keep of 15 girls, through an NGO, by promising financial support for them until they start earning themselves or until they get married.
Add to the 15 his own two daughters (Mahika and Maira) that makes 17 girls to call Arjun… Papa!

Talking about Shah Rukh, another who seems to have entered the Shah Rukh clique is Arjun Rampal. Now, we know this actor doesn't believe in 'campism' and all that. But Arj and SRK get on really well. After all their last two films - Don 2 and Om Shanti Om - were huge hits, and this has only strengthened the camaraderie. Arjun will be seen sharing screen space with the Khan next in Don 2 , but is currently enjoying his stint in EMI and Rock On.

Come 9th November and it would be the fourth instance where Arjun Rampal and Shahrukh Khan would have appeared in the same film. Though DON - THE CHASE BEGINS AGAIN (2006) is the only film where they shared a common frame with both the actors enjoying a substantial screen time, Arjun also had a special appearance in KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA (2006) where he played Preity Zinta's boss. In a small role, he did make his presence felt in the initial reels of the film. Read the rest of this entry »
