According to Vikas Hotwani from DNA, along with performing at IIFA, Aftab Shivdasani will also play a cricket match against the Yorkshire team. "The film fraternity team comprises of almost half the film industry. Apart from me, the team has actors like Saif Ali Khan, Hrithik Roshan and many more. The Yorkshire team will mostly comprise of ex-cricketers and politicians, all from Britain," Aftab said.
On the career front, the actor is keeping his fingers crossed for his upcoming movies, Speed and Dus Kahaniyaan. "I have just finished shooting for Speed that is more of an action/thriller unlike my previous movies. For Dus Kahaniyaan , it would be a little premature to say anything as we are yet contemplating our choices between two stories. All I can say is that the movie has a filmi romantic theme to it," states Aftab.

Amrita Arora and Aftab Shivdasani are two actors who are still awaiting that one super hit film to catapult them into the category of lead actors. Recently both Amrita and Aftab were a part of the film Red and the two also claim to be good friends. In fact during the making of Red, the two actors would chat and hang around in each other’s vanity vans during shooting breaks.
But recently it seems according to certain sources, Amrita and Aftab both of whom are in relationships with other people were seen indulging in a lip-lock, only this time it was not for a film.

Aftab Shivdasani’s new hairdo is making news big time. The MAST lad desperately wanted a radical change and has almost gone bald for Vikram Bhatt’s RED. “I was discussing about this new look with Vikram when we were doing ANKAHEE. I was longing to see myself in a new light. I went to hair stylist Aalim Hakim. We experimented with various lengths but we weren’t getting the right look. Finally we zeroed in on this look. Vikram has been very supportive and we finally implemented the look in RED. I’m in love with this new look,” informs Aftab. Apparently RED is an erotic thriller laden with heavy-duty bold scenes. The Aftab-Celina lip lock has generated enough hype already. “RED is a mature adult film. Much ado has been made over the so-called bold scenes. RED depicts love, sensuality and eroticism in the right light. It is a ‘part’ of the film, just as it’s a part of our lives. It has been aesthetically shot,” avers Aftab. RED hits the marquee on 2nd March 2007.

If the release dates for a couple of high profile films stick to the plans, Aftab Shivdasani would be enjoying a double bill this February.
Though one can see immense hype building up steadily for his Vikram Bhatt directed RED, not many are aware that he also has a role to play in Ram Gopal Verma/Amitabh Bachchan's NISHABD! While Aftab can be seen all over the promos for RED that features him as a sole male lead with Celina Jaitley and Amrita Arora for company, he is completely off the publicity when it comes to NISHABD. The promotion has centered on Big and Jiah for the latter and even though Aftab has a minor but important role to play in the film, there is no mention of him yet.
