Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan today described himself as Marathi having been born and brought up in Maharashtra. He was responding to a question whether he considered Marathi people lucky for him as his two home productions -- 'Lagaan' directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and 'Taare Zameen Par' whose script was written by Amole Gupte, both Maharashtrians -- were India's official entry for Oscars. After ‘Lagaan’, this will be Aamir Khan’s next entry for Oscars. The jury set up by Film Federation of India (FFI) has announced that Aamir’s directorial debut ‘Taare Zameen Par’ will be India’s official entry for the Oscar award for the best foreign film, the jury announced here Saturday. Well this is the buzz making rounds these days. Apparently the winners of the last time's season Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh are being roped in to host 'Nach Baliye 4'. But not confirming nor denying the fact is Aamir who says, "It's not a necessary legacy for the previous winners to host the new season everytime. Such decisions depend on a lot of factors. There is good news for people who were longing to see Aamir and Shahrukh together. If not in films, the duo will come together for a show named ‘Temptation’. Shahrukh is the main protagonist of the show. There is a buzz that at his request, Aamir has given his consent. Shahrukh wanted his show to be much bigger than Amitabh’s Unforgettable tour which has concluded recently and has gathered much accolades. When the Tata Sky unraveled its new campaign with its brand icon Aamir Khan knowingly or unknowingly it was able to seek inspiration from the Indian mythology of existence of both the forms male and female in a person, which was referred to as Ardhnarishawar. Our literature has been emphasizing and underlining about existence of both the traits in an individual and it indeed took a long time for somebody to visualize along these lines. Aamir Khan is taking on a double role but not the sort you would imagine. Not only is the brilliant actor taking on the role of a Punjabi bride, he is also playing the bridegroom. However it is not for a film role that Aamir is donning a pink salwar kameez and a blue sherwani it is for an ad for Tata Sky. Acting along with the Perfectionist Khan must be a dream for many actresses but it sure isn’t easy. And that we learn from Kangana Ranaut and Jiah Khan. Kangana Ranaut was supposed to be Aamir’s original choice to play the medical student in the film, but Kangana put the kulhadi on her own foot when she leaked the news to the press before the formal press meet of the film.
