In a stunning creative twist, rumours are circulating that Abhishek Bachchan plays Amitabh’s father in the movie Pa. A source reveals "Amitabh plays an alienated and slightly retarded son of Abhishek" in the movie. It’s said that Amitabh is having to spend up to five hours each day in make-up to get the right look. Vidya Balan also has a prominent role in the movie. These are busy days for 66-year-old Amitabh as he is also shooting for his role as the genie in the much-anticipated Aladin with Riteish Deshmukh as the hero and Jacqueline Fernandes as the Princess Jasmine. “My role is that of the genie and yes I will appear at the rub of the lamp to fulfill the three wishes of the one that carries the object of desire,” he says. After a very competitive bidding cycle, Big B was on duty last night to confirm that the IIFA Awards for 2009 will be held at The Venetian in Macau from June 11th-13th. His co-stars in Pa and Aladin, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh will be the hosts for the evening.
