Music of DOSTANA is topping the charts and after 'Jaane Kyun' and 'Desi Girl', 'Shut Up and Bounce' has been widely accepted as well.

'Believe me but it was not an easy journey while composing for DOSTANA', says Vishal Dadlani, 'Shekhar and me had to work really hard to make DOSTANA the score it is today. It is totally different from any of our films and while it was supposed to be very fresh, it had to be hugely commercial as well.'

Tarun Mansukhani, director of DOSTANA, had his own vision about how he wanted DOSTANA to sound like.

'True', Vishal is prompt in replying, 'In fact I can go on to say that Tarun is pretty much carving a musical identity for himself. There was a simplicity that he wanted us to explore and no wonder, it took us days and weeks and months to come up with those six final songs in the album. Inshallah, I am glad that we could meet his vision and deliver a soundtrack that is being loved by the audience.'
